NVD's TALON night vision weaponsights are based upon a proven design which has shown outstanding performance in the field. The TALON is also available with a new feature which greatly enhances the system's ability to function in any environment. This feature is GAIN CONTROL. Gain control allows the user to adjust the tube brightness (gain) lower to compensate for overly bright conditions or to increase the gain under extreme dark conditions.

The TALON is lightweight, rugged and adaptable to almost any weapon which will accept a MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rail or STANAG and has shown the ability to withstand the recoil of 5.56, 7.62 and .50 caliber sniper rifles.

The TALON incorporates an illuminated variable intensity reticle which can be adjusted for variable light conditions. Windage and Elevation are adjusted with independent adjustment knobs. Each unit comes with a shuttered eyeguard, which protects against stray light illuminating the user and helps cushion against recoil. Each unit also includes an objective lens cap which can be used for daytime training or sighting in of the weapon which flips up during nighttime use.

The TALON is available with the highest quality Gen III American Made Image Intensifiers. Several configurations are available including Figure Of Merit (FOM) image tubes in 1600 and 1250 FOMs.
